We humans are not really suited for what we do most. Rather than slouching indoors, we should get out in the open. Rather than bowing to stress, we need to take a deep and serene breath. Here, in the Heart of Jutland, you have every opportunity for outdoor activity. Shaped by the Ice Age, the local landscapes are both unique and dramatic. There are meltwater tunnel valleys, moraine hillscapes and places that inspire silence and awe. Indeed, we are lucky to have some of Denmark’s most magnificent nature, which we happily share with you.
Waves and family-friendly beaches. In Kolding and Vejle, there are beautiful beaches. Here you can laze your day away with a good book or challenge family and friends to games in the sand – where the losers, of course, fetch ice creams for all. Enjoy the warm summer days while imagining what a thrilling – and chilling – experience winter bathing must be.
